Tie Dyed Easter Eggs

I first saw these really cool eggs on this blog. I really liked the idea, so I gave it a try.

Here's what I did.

First, gather your supplies.
You will need:
1 dozen hard boiled eggs
Food coloring
Cheesecloth
Newspaper
Rubber bands
Scissors
Ruler
Spray bottle with water

First, put a good amount of newspaper down on your surface to prevent the food coloring from staining and to make clean up a breeze. I used a whole Sunday paper.

Next, measure your cheesecloth and cut it into 12 strips 6 inches wide.

Wet the cheesecloth and wring it out.

Wrap your egg in the strip and rubber band it at the top to secure.

Drip the food coloring into various places and mixing colors if you like.

Spray with the water bottle. I couldn't find my water bottle but I had an empty stain remover bottle that I washed out REALLY well.

Next, squeeze out the extra water and place in the carton to dry.

There you have it! If you check out the other blog, she also give directions for using a paper towel if you don't have cheesecloth.

What do ya think?
